Looking for an advanced, handheld solution for measuring power quality in your premises?
Megger's MPQ1000 is a truly portable, comprehensive power analysis tool which can calculate a wide variety of power and electrical factors, stores all the data on an included SD card and is packed with features and functionality.
The MPQ1000 is designed for use on three phase systems and is excellent for compliance testing, power factor studies, load studies and load balancing, billing verification, substation monitoring, capacitor bank sizing, transformer analysis and de-rating, motor troubleshooting and inrush testing, switchgear and component failure, tripping breakers, equipment tripping offline, dimming/surging lighting, lamp flicker analysis, neutral overheating and solar (PV) analysis. For a quick introduction to this analyser, please see the following video.
Whether you want to view RMS data, waveforms, perform simple electrical measurements or do complicated power studies, the Megger MPQ1000 is ready for the job.
This power quality analyser is ideal for monitoring electrical parameters and performing waveform studies; the MPQ1000 can be used for a wide variety of different measurements, including:
Watch the video below for an overview of the Megger MPQ1000's test procedure.
This instrument is easy-to-setup via the free Megger PQ Software (please see the video below). As this software is available for free, a dongel or license is not required.
The Megger MPQ1000 power analyser is designed for use with optional CT current probes (included in the Silver kit or sold separately). When connected, the analyser will automatically identify which clamps are connected, recognise their range and compensate accordingly.
To ensure correct setup when measuring, the MPQ1000 also has a connection verification setting - this means your connections will always be configured correctly and you'll always get the data you exactly need without any wasted data. For an overview of the Megger MPQ1000's configuration verification feature, please see the following video.
As standard the MPQ1000 power analyser ships with a 32GB SD card; this stores a huge amount of data directly into the analyser's memory, ready for further analysis on a PC at a later date using Megger's PQ Power Quality Analysis Software.
Thanks to such large memory storage, the MPQ1000 is perfectly suited for long, extended studies over several days.
When you're ready to download to PC, the MPQ1000 includes multiple communications modes to send data. These include a USB connection, Ethernet connection, USB stick or the SD card itself.
Alternatively, as the Megger MPQ1000 Power Analyser also features built-in data analysis capabilities, measurements may be analysed on-site; please see the following video for further information.
